About Us

We are the Taylor family , originally from Merseyide , but now spread out between the Outer Hebrides and Cornwall.  Nearly eight years ago we decided to plan for a different life style and set about buying a property on the Isle of Lewis in the outstanding Outer Hebrides. After a period of renovating and creating a craft studio and workshop we made the move permanent in 2018.

After having some success selling through local shops and attending craft fairs we decided to branch out and create an e-commerce platform to reach a wider audience and so Pickleberry Studios marketplace was born.

Meet the Makers

I make delightful creations from various fabrics , but my favourites are the locally woven Harris Tweeds which are available in a fantastic range of colours and patterns. You can read more about the tweed by clicking the “Harris Tweed Story” link on the top of this page.

I use machine and free motion embroidery to embellish and customise a lot of my products.

I am also interested in felting and you will find both needle felted and wet felted items in the store.

I provide the technical and admin support for the enterprise but also have a creative outlet making hand turned items such as wooden pens.

I am also prototyping some new products involving a small CNC machine for carving and cutting as well as personalised 3D printed items.

I’m the eldest daughter and I currently live in Rossendale having spent some time in the Outer Hebrides.

My main interest is silversmithing and I am producing a range of contemporary and affordable jewellery.

You can find me in the Emma Taylor Jewellery category within the shop and also on Instagram – @etaylorjewellery

I’m the youngest daughter and I am based in Stornoway.  I also make textile based products and currently experimenting with multicoloured resin art.

You can find me in the KC Studios section in the store and also on Instagram @kcstudios_
